The WWE Summerslam 2011 Location will be the Staple Center in LA. When is WWE Summerslam 2011? It will take place on August 14th 2011 at the USA Timezone of 8pm EST/5PM PST.
The event is the 24th Summerslam event, since the first Summerslam in 1988. This will be the third year that the Summerslam location is set in the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The main event is set to be a WWE Champion vs WWE Champion unification match. Ever since CM Punk wins WWE Championship on July 17th at Money In the Bank, he was not seen on WWE TV until the July 25th edition of Raw.
Rey Mysterio was the winner of a WWE Championship tournament after Vince Mcmahon declare the WWE Title vacant and up for grabs for eight RAW Superstars.
Eventually John Cena won the WWE Championshup on the same night by defeating Rey Mysterio, less than 2 hours into his title reign. CM Punk returns to WWE with his new theme song “Cult Of Personality” by Living Colors.
Both WWE Champions held their titles high in the air, as fans cheer for the two WWE Champions, with CM Punk receiving a louder reaction. While the match is not yet officially announced, it look like new WWE COO Triple H will have to set up the match at WWE Summerslam 2011 John Cena vs CM Punk to crown one undisputed WWE Champion.

There will be 3 version of the Summerslam home video to be released. The WWE Summerslam 2011 DVD Blu Ray release date is set for Tuesday September 13th 2011. There will be 2 DVD version, the one disc edition and the two disc edition with bonus content.
The WWE Summerslam 2011 DVD Cover could be a rework of the official WWE Summerslam 2011 Poster or a new poster featuring CM Punk and John Cena. The Blu Ray version has been officially confirmed for release. Meanwhile it can be confirmed that the Capitol Punishment & Money In The Bank 2011 Blu Ray will NOT be released.

While Triple H returned as the WWE CEO/COO/Chairman recently, it is unlikely he will be wrestling at the PPV. While initially there were plans to have Triple H turn heel on CM Punk by attacking him, these plans were scrapped. Now the rumors are that Triple H vs CM Punk Wrestlemania 28 is the new plans going forward.

The event will be the 3rd straight year where it has taken place at the venue. While WWE originally had plans of an Alberto Del Rio vs John Cena match to attract the Hispanic audience in the region, the match has been switched due to the popularity of CM Punk and John Cena feud.
