Beside the fact that this year there will be 40 men participating, here are some interesting facts about the Royal Rumble match.
- With three victories (1997, 1998, 2001) is “Stone Cold” Steve Austin record holder in the Royal Rumble match , even though the first victory was revoked later.
- Only Hulk Hogan (1990 & 1991), Shawn Michaels (1995 & 1996) and Steve Austin (1997 & 1998) were winner of more than one Royal Rumble match in a row.
- Bret Hart and Lex Luger are the only joint winner (1994) in the history of the Rumbles. In 2005, the last two participants eliminated John Cena and Batista each other and arrived at the same time on the hall floor. In this case, the match, however, both wrestlers restarted the match under Vince Mcmahon’s order and Batista won.
- Shawn Michaels (1995), Vince McMahon (1999), Chris Benoit (2004) and Rey Mysterio (2006) won the Royal Rumble despite the worst start numbers one and two, by which they started from the beginning of the match in the ring.

- The youngest Royal Rumble winner was Brock Lesnar (2003) with 25 years of age.
- The oldest Royal Rumble winner was Vince McMahon (1999) 54.
- The number 27 is the number of the most common winner emerged (1989,1993,1994 & 2001).
- Rey Mysterio remained with the Royal Rumble 2006 (which he also won) 1:02:12 hours in the ring and now holds the current record for the longest time involved in the match winner. The record for the longest remaining wrestlers who did not win the match, put Bob Backlund in 1993 (1:01:10 hours).
- Santino Marella was in the Royal Rumble 2009, only a second in the ring and thus the shortest representation in a Rumble.
- The worst has been the starting number four. 12 wrestlers have been eliminated with this number first.
- The record for most eliminations in a single Rumble holds Kane , of the eleven opponents out of the ring transported in 2001 by Kane.
- The Great Khali eliminated at the Royal Rumble 2007, seven wrestlers in 1:47 minutes.
- With 14 Rumbel match took Glen Jacobs aka Kane as the wrestler with the most apperance, but with different gimmicks
- The only Royal Rumble participants, in the same Rumble was represented by three, but not yet won, 1998 was Mick Foley with his three gimmicks Dude Love, Cactus Jack and Mankind.
- The events in 1988, 1996, 1997, 1998, and 2006 was the occasions where the Royal Rumble match was not in the main event.
- The Royal Rumble venues have been in San Antonio, Texas (1997 and 2007), in New York, New York (2000 and 2008), in Atlanta, Georgia (2002 and 2010) and Miami, Florida (1991 and 2006) was held Rumble 2 times already.
- With 7:19 minutes (2010) Edge is the winner of the match, which was the shortest in the ring.
- Chyna came in 1999 as the first woman to Rumble. Beth Phoenix become in 2010′s second women in a Royal Rumble.
- Most of the total weight threw was by Shawn Michaels at Royal Rumble 1996 where he threw Yokozuna and Vader out simultaneously. Both wrestlers brought together over 450 kg on the scale.
