Here we go for the March 2011 TNA PPV, can TNA Wrestling deliver ? Let’s find out with the TNA Victory Road 2011 Review as the Immortal vs TNA storyline continues.
TNA World Tag Team Championship Tag Team Match
Beer Money (James Storm & Robert Roode) (c) Vs. Ink Inc. (Shannon Moore & Jesse Neal)
After the Ultimate X match, this is the second most interesting match on the TNA Victory Road 2011 card. Ink Inc can show great matches against strong opponents and Beer Money is one of the best tag teams in the world. In addition to the X Division title match, this was the second candidate for the match of the evening. Both teams have in the past have shown that they harmonize well together. There were some nice tag actions and certainly violent spots. And at the end a good finish for a solid match. The match is pretty decent and get enough time. The defending champions was successful but Ink Inc teased a breakup.
Winner: Beer Money via DWI
TNA Victory Road 2011 Review Rating 6/10
One of the matches, to which I very much look forward to. It has been well established throughout the feud and it has been shown that it was the right decision to bring Ink Inc back in. Jesse Neal seems to have improved in the ring and Moore should be better used than before. I for one hope that the TNA tag team division will shine again, and soon more attention will be given to Douglas Williams/Brutus Magnus /Desmond Wolfe perhaps soon with a new team.
TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship Tag Team Match
Angelina Love & Winter (c) Vs. Sarita & Rosita
The Knockouts match IS a tag team title match. I am expecting an interference by anyone. It could be anybody, but I expect a cookie. Fair ending is not certainly expected in this match. Well, my expectations are not high and I hope that this match does not take too long. My highlight next to the X-Division and the tag title match. The KOs are always a good match and a more interesting story here with the beautiful people. Just the whole situation of Velvet and winter is cool and I’m curious what happens further after they lost the titles here. However, the titles are unfortunately so insignificant that the winners here, more or less do not matter much. But as Sarita and Rosita should make a good KO Tag Team Champion.
Winner: Sarita & Rosita

Challenge Match Bully Ray vs. Tommy Dreamer
The most boring match on the card. TNA has probably finally realized that 50 Brawls between Ray and Devon are just plain boring and totally unrealistic. So it is taken to a third party with Tommy Dreamer. Nothing against Dreamer, but this match was not any better than the Devon vs. Ray Brawls. I am interested in neither story. Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer are now only a shadow of earlier days. I was never a fan of both, The oh so evil Ray get the loss here after Brother Devon intervene and then at TNA lockdown 2011 he will again face his former blood brother.
Dreamer complains that he has nothing to do and now he gets to wrestle on PPV. I would suggest next time to be quiet, because already the Dudleys feud is clearly not a classic for the future
Winner Tommy Dreamer

TNA X-Division Championship Ultimate X Match
Kazarian (c) Vs. Max Buck vs. Jeremy Buck vs. Robbie E
Kazarian in an Ultimate X match, of course, sounds great and with the Bucks, he has to the support for a great match . Only Robbie E is questionable, but that will not destroy the match. I am expecting a Showstealer. The match of the evening? Not really but probably second best match.. Both Kazarian, as well as the Bucks show brilliant spots. The situation with Generation Me, which will likely lead to the split, unfortunately happen at this PPV. The tensions were not to be overlooked after the defeat here and thus this is breaking up another part of the once strong tag team division. Despite this I must also recognize that this will lead to the announced expansion of the X-Division.
We definitely see some great spots, the Bucks have the time to convince against Kazarian.
Winner: Kaz to retain X Division Title

First Blood Match Matt Morgan vs.. Hernandez
Hernandez is back from Mexico and his feud continues with Matt Morgan. Unfortunately, the feud is paid too little attention. This is very unfortunate because you can build the feud up very well. Nevertheless, there is now a First Blood Match between the two and I expect a good match. While First Blood is actually more brutal than wrestling, Who will be the winner, is unclear to me. I say Matt Morgan, as he’s better right now than Hernandez. Eric Bischoff thinks highly of the giant and Hernandez has at least since the failed Border Toss fallen down slightly out of favor. Also reports that TNA officials are not satisfies with his progress. Regardless of the story, this was a average match with a poor ending. It feels kind of like a repeat of the last year. At that time, the feud had something, but they were left short and Hernandez also disappear from the scene. Hernandez could with Sarita & Rosita form a Latin American Stable. Morgan lost when Hernandez spill fake blood onto him and the ref calls for the bell. I could well imagine that the feud end: in a Steel Cage Match, for Lockdown.
Winner: Hernadez via stipulation

Singles Match AJ Styles vs. Matt Hardy
AJ is indeed one of the undisputed best worker TNA but before him is one of the new Worker of TNA. Does it really benefit to have a Matt Hardy vs AJ Styles feud ? I would say no. Instead AJ Styles should be fighting for the TNA WHC, especially as the head of Fortune. TNA AJ teach Matt Hardy a lesson in wrestling. The victory of AJ Style is clear despite the interference of Ric Flair, and after two defeats against Hardy in light of the story for Fortune / Immortal (and flair), the win at the PPV bring some momentum for Fortune . It’s a simple transition feud – at least I hope so, because AJ should be in title race – Matt Hardy impact since his debut is mostly gone already. Even if I do not necessarily endorse, it might have been wiser to give him the vacant TV title (yes, Abyss is holding it) and to give a feud with Brian Kendrick , Douglas Williams or something. At the last edition of iMPACT these two have at least already proved that together they can deliver good match, I hope for a repeat of a ladder match of the two prior to the TNA lockdown 2011 for advantage in Lethal Lockdown match.
Winner: AJ Styles via pin after the Spiral Tap

No. 1 Contender Match for TNA World Heavyweight Championship Rob Van Dam vs. Mr. Anderson
This match is very difficult to predict. I really do not know who will win here. Both are in fact faces and could continue with Hardy and Sting feud. The style of RVD is always something good for wrestling and Anderson can always have good times matches.
I expect somehow at TNA Lockdown 2011 a 4-Way for the TNA World title based on the result of double countcount here. Anderson also has really still a one-on-one rematch with the champion open. Here are the typical booking logic of TNA to have 2 guys feud during the hunt for the title as both currently have no real story / feud going.
RvD gives a standard reel of his moves and Anderson keep it slower, however. The winner is not clear and will be decided on Impact. I must say that Anderson first run should have had a longer, an acclaimed Tweener’s title run is much more interesting.
Winner: Double Countout

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Singles Match
“The Icon” Sting (c) Vs. “The Anti-Christ” Jeff Hardy

Sting is the champion and Jeff Hardy now gets his rematch. I do not like Sting as TNA champion. He may be a legend, but he’s too old. Even Jeff Hardy I would prefer as the TNA World champion. Well, since Jeff’s trial is still not finished, sting to defend successfully. The possibility that TNA has promised Sting only a short title run, I do not exclude it. Hardy could therefore be a champion yet again. This fact that nobody know why this match end in 2 minutes is also the only thing that makes this match at least one interesting bit. I think this is hardly a match and more of an angle for the WHC. Hardy has a hearing date next week. Regardless both are in contention for the World Title (for now) are looking to do and also had no time to build a real feud so who knows what will happen. Sting is physically similar as the Undertaker. Here, the former champion gets his rematch only to lose in 2 minutes .. Probably worse than any PPV title match from last year.
Winner : Sting with Scorpion Deathdrop
TNA Victory Road 2011 Review Rating :0/10
Overall TNA Victory Road 2011 Review PPV Rating: 4/10
The Best match was Matt Hardy vs AJ Styles while the booking of the last 2 matches of Ken Anderson vs RVD and Jeff Hardy vs Sting was disappointing. A count out for a no1 contender match and then a world title match that ends in 2 minutes….
