In an interview after the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2009, the WWE Superstar John Cena was asked questions about a match in the UFC and the rumors about the alleged match between John Cena”and’ The Rock at WrestleMania 26 in Phoenix, Arizona. Those are just rumors, and The Rock has never said anything about wrestling or WWE ….
That was then but now in 2011, the Rock is singing a very different tune ever since he returned to the WWE on 14 Feb edition of Monday Night Raw. The possibility of John Cena vs The Rock Wrestlemania 27 is actually not too low. The Rock was quoted in a recent WWE magazine interview that he has kept his ring gear because he knows that he will use them again one day and that he believe that he can “kick ass” while still making movies
John Cena vs The Rock 2011 – Booking The Fantasy Match Up
This is how the WWE should book the John Cena vs The Rock Wrestlemania 27 match, if they want it to happen. Open with John Cena in the ring, demanding the Miz come out after he brutally attack Cena last week on Raw. John Cena then challenge the Miz to have John Cena vs The Miz Wrestlemania 27 match take place on Raw right there tonight. If Cena loses, he will never wrestle for the WWE title again. The Miz accepts and faces John Cena in the main event of Raw later with the WWE title on the line.
John Cena defeated The Miz in the main event after 30 minutes in a hard fought battle which either men could have won. After the match, the Miz attack Cena when suddenly The Rock music hits and he runs down to the ring. The Rock attacks Alex Riley and The Miz who both escape. Finally John Cena gets up but the Rock lays him out with the Rock Bottom. The Rock holds up the WWE title and knowledge the fans to close Raw.

The Rock cut a promo, challenging John Cena to face him at Wrestlemania 2011 for the WWE title because he is the face of the WWE and not Cena. The Rock promise to represent the people by wearing the WWE Title for a long time and proving that he is better than John Cena. The Rock has one motivation, to prove beyond a shadow of doubt that John Cena was wrong to call him out and that he is not even in the Rock league.

The following week on the final Raw before Wrestlemania, WWE could air a recorded seatdown interview with Jim Ross, John Cena and The Rock to hype up their match. Finally in the final segment of Raw, have the two superstars come face to face again in the ring for a live promo in front of the WWE universe. John Cena would cut a live rap promo on the Rock while The Rock could use all of his trademark insults on John Cena.
Before their epic encounter, the WWE could then air the John Cena vs the Rock Video with footage of Cena and The Rock at WWE hall of fame where The Rock already made some comments about Cena calling him out as well as footage of Cena talking about the Rock in various media interviews.

Could it happen? The possibility is there now that The Rock has returned to the WWE and is talking up wrestling another match. It would be huge for John Cena to defeat The Rock and be passed the torch officially. The WWE would boost a stale product and attract old school fans from the Attitude era. Why not? John Cena vs The Rock Wrestlemania 27 or 28 will be a dream match up come true, fitting two generation of the top babyface against each other. The WWE should make this match come true, and live up to the showcase of the immortals tagline for Wrestlemania 2011.
