Those responsible backstage panic when Jeff Hardy appeared in a state that made it impossible for him to work in the ring. However, due to the idea that TNA might face backlash if they were to changed the advertised main event, they thought it was better to try to let Jeff Hardy work the match. It was said that Jeff Hardy not only arrived late to the event but was missing backstage and could not be located until shortly before the main event of Sting vs Jeff Hardy Victory Road 2011.
Sting Victory Road Backstage Reaction
Sources reports Jeff Hardy had gone to Sting before the match and tried to make it clear that he was unable to contest the match, but Sting had wanted none of it and was beside himself backstage in the locker room. Sting then made clear that he wanted to bring the match as quickly as possible behind him. For TNA Victory Road 2011 on Sunday, a scandal in the Jeff Hardy vs Sting Victory Road 2011 main event definitely occurred. Jeff Hardy, the challenger for TNA World Heavyweight Champion Sting – was apparently under the influence of drugs in the ring and seemed to unready in any way for a match situation. The much anticipated main event of the Victory Road PPV thus came to a farce.

Jeff Hardy, as fans could clearly see did not come with a clear head and stumbled on his way to the ring several times and nearly tripped himself. As the World Heavyweight Champion Sting moved into the ring, there was a brief conversation between the TNA Referee Brian Herbner and the “Charismatic Enigma”. This was not fair to Sting who is a great wrestler. Jeff Hardy should have never been allowed to go out to the ring. I am a big fan of Jeff Hardy,s but I am disappointed in him and I wish someone would step up and get him the help he so badly needs before he is the next wrestler to die!!!!!!!
