TNA Impact Wrestling On The Road 2012 Taping Details: Too Expensive
- Dixie Carter and Eric Bischoff had a meeting with Spike TV execs on 11 April where the subject of On the Road Taping, Impact Wrestling Rating and other subjects were discussed.
Both side agreed to work toward gaining 2 millions viewers regularly for Impact Wrestling as the next step toward growth. Currently TNA flagship program averages 1.5 million viewers.
Dixie Carter believes that the company must have more “On the Road taping”, however the cost would be an estimated $ 500,000 per taping. These additional expenses would bring the company in financial difficulties and it does not pay well on paper.
Another topic during the meeting was about changes for the Impact Wrestlng show, which will unfold in the coming weeks.
One of them is the “Open Fight Night”, which will be held once a month to allow a new wrestler to get hold of a TNA contract, via a three-member jury’s decision which includes Hulk Hogan.
Also open challenges can be issued for toward all TNA title holder or wrestlers on the roster. Plus the TNA TV title will be defended every week from now on.

Also TNA will hold more international tours in 2013, which Dixie mentions in particular the markets in Mexico and Australia as new markets. 100-110 TNA live events are planned per year, of which 10-15 events will take place outside the United States and Canada.
